Very powerful!! I don’t pick up a huge gay agenda thing, which is good- rather a starkly modern rendition of the timeless story. Wow!

I could not agree more, Amalaric. It is a startling conception really. A powerful retelling without overtones that might ruin its deep universality. Well done.

As I have contemplated this series (it is Easter after all), I am struck by the burial frame. A mass grave instead of a solitary tomb. How fitting. The theme of universality? Perhaps. Or, the signs of our times- AIDS, the pandemic…solidarity?
