Captain Volt - Page 1

When it comes to fighting bad guys, it doesn’t get much better than Captain Volt. Running solely on the electricity that flows through his veins, the Captain never sleeps; that is as long as he stays close to an electric current. You see, Captain Volt is what we have come to call a Hybrid Human.
At the young age of 18, Captain Volt, then known as Jake Nelson, was swimming in his family’s pool when his best friend, Peter, decided it would be a good idea to put a radio on the same raft he was floating on. What his Peter didn’t plan on, unfortunately, was that he should get on the raft first before putting the radio on. So when he went to get on the raft that was holding the radio, the raft flipped, knocking the radio into the pool.
Peter was able to catch himself on the pool’s deck with no harm, or so Jake thought. Jake, however, was swimming underwater, unaware of the danger his friend had put him in. As the radio tumbled into the water, it sent an electric charge throughout the entire pool and zapped the life clean out of both men. Jake spent the next 3 months in a coma as his family wondered if he would ever wake up.
Peter, on the other hand, wasn’t so fortunate. The shockwave that racked his body caused him to be temporarily paralyzed from the waist down and sent his brain into overdrive, causing him some long-term brain damage. All of Peter’s suffering, however, was kept from Jake.
At the end of the long and dreadful 3 months, Jake finally blinked his eyes, allowing the light to hit his dark pupils again. As the doctors rushed in, shining lights in his eyes and listening to his heartbeat through their stethoscopes, they were amazed that he had even become conscious again.
“The next 24 hours will tell us a lot about his prognosis,” he remembered hearing one of the doctors tell his mother. However, the doctor had no clue just how much change that 24 hours would bring.
As the hours clicked by, Jake could feel the strength coming back to his arms and legs. Before the eight-hour mark hit, he was ready to get out of bed and start walking again. The doctors just couldn’t believe it. Normally, it would take weeks of therapy to get someone back to this point. Jake seemed to be on the fast track to recovery.
By the time the 16-hour mark hit, Jake was still going strong. He would run up and down the hallways, dragging his IV line behind him, until the nurses had to make him go back in the room. In the room, he was forced to remain as inactive as possible, resorting to flipping through the television and talking nonstop with his parents.
It wasn’t until the 24-hour mark hit that the doctors began to get a little worried; he didn’t seem to be tiring at all. They ran every test they could think of and tested his blood for every condition possible. For five days, Jake Nelson was a human pin-cushion. Yet, the doctors still couldn’t figure out why he never grew tired. In fact, since that day he came out of the coma, Jake Nelson had only slept once.
Months later, Jake’s family decided to celebrate his recovery with a camping trip. For three days, his family slept in tents out in the middle of nowhere. No television, no electronics, nothing. Surprisingly, after having gone almost 3 months without sleeping, Jake began to grow tired on the second day. And that night, he slept.
When he awoke the next day, he felt as though he had never slept; he was even more tired than before. So tired, in fact, that he couldn’t even help his family load the car. However, continuing to surprise, he began to feel the energy flow through his body again the moment he saw an electrical line. It was then that Jake began to get curious.
Jake began to experiment on himself. He would purposefully stick electronics in the bathtub, while he lay with water covering him, just to see what happened. Always, to his surprise, he felt nothing but more energy flowing through his veins. Once, he decided to grab a live power line that had fallen on the road. Expecting to be jolted, he surprisingly felt nothing but a little tickle as the electricity flowed through him.
Then the big change happened.
Before the incident, Jake wasn’t what you would call a buff guy. In fact, he would have been better described as a scrawny brainiac. After the incident, however, changes quickly began to take place. Without even once stepping into a gym, his muscles began to develop tone and hardness. He grew from a short, pimple-faced geek into a tall, defined specimen of a man.
Muscles weren’t the only growth his body developed. Before the accident, Jake struggled to have even tiny stubble on his face over a week’s worth of time. After, however, if he didn’t shave every day, he would have a full beard in no time. And not just facial hair. He also developed a thick layer of body hair covering his well-defined pecs, abs and legs. Not the mention a thick bush around his cock and balls. His hair soon became part of his masculine persona.
Along with the increased masculine features came a lot of attention from the girls at his university. He suddenly became the most popular guy on campus. And Jake took full advantage, often sneaking into the sorority house for a little one on one time with each of the sisters.
But his new masculine features almost paled in comparison to his new abilities. Jake could power things just by simply touching them. He’d never forget the first time that it happened. He was, sitting in his history class when the professor asked him to roll the TV cart in front of the class. You know that cart; the one where the television sat on the top shelf while the VCR sat on the bottom, both plugged into a power strip connected to the cart. Well, as Jake began to roll he cart to the front of the class, the television started playing. Much to his amazement, the confused professor curiously walked over and lifted the power cord off the floor and stared with astonishment back at Jake. Being just as terrified and shocked as the rest of the class, Jake shyly walked back to his seat while the rest of the students glared back at him.
That night, even stranger things began to happen. For instance, he would pick up his stereo and it would automatically change the station. When he touched the table lamps, they would brighten only to turn off when he removed his finger.
Not needing to sleep had its advantages. Jake had plenty of time to test his new-found powers. And over time, he was able to control his powers. He strength seemed to increase daily until it reached the point that he found himself unintentionally breaking things. He just didn’t know his own strength.
Jake understand the meaning of these new abilities or even what do to with them until a fateful event that occurred just after his 21st birthday. Jake had traveled to Rome for a week to celebrate turning 21. But while he was away, his mother and father were the victims of a home invasion which ended with his mother in the hospital. Jake quickly rushed home but arrived just hours before his mother took her last breath. The local police were unable to solve the crime. They had had no leads or any clue as to who had committed the heinous act. Jake was furious at the incompetence of the law enforcement in his town so it was then that Jake started putting his gifts to work. He would be become the superhero that his town needed.
But as is always the case, where there is a superhero, there must also be a villain.

Captain Volt didn’t know he had an arch-enemy until that fateful day the Grisley twins decided to go on a bank robbery spree. While Captain Volt was working to keep the Grisley twins in the bank’s vault by sending an electrical current to act as a barrier, he heard a loud bang from outside. Suddenly, all the electronics in the area ceased to work. And soon after it felt like the world was dropped on his shoulders, as the energy left the Captain’s body.
Unable to maintain the barrier, the Grisley twins were easily able to escape through the bank’s front door while Captain Volt sank down to the floor. In the moments before his body gave up, the Captain saw a figure leap out of the shadows and place a burlap sack over his head. Silently, the figure hurled the Captain over his shoulders and carried him out. The Captain’s last memory was being tossed into a large vehicle of some sort and doors slamming shut. He lost consciousness just as the figure lurched the vehicle forward.
When the Captain finally regained consciousness, he opened his eyes and immediately realized that he was sitting with his hands taped behind his back and secured the chair. Though he struggled, he was unable to break free of the tape. He quickly became increasingly exhausted. He hadn’t felt that way since the day at the campground when he was 18 years old. That was almost 15 years ago; why would he be feeling this way now?
Though his eyes were slowly adjusting, the room he was in was too dark for him to see much. But he heard what sounded like a key going into a knob and turning. Suddenly, the room was filled with light as a door opened directly in front of him. The light was blinding at first, but soon his eyes adjusted enough to take notice of his surroundings.
It was an empty room, except for a table next to him, along with what appeared to be a set of gallows that were attached to the table that came about waist high, seeming to make a person bend over to be placed in them. Perplexing, The Captain thought to himself.
As the light bounced closer to him, he could feel a small surge of energy flow through his body. Momentarily, the feeling of exhaustion left him replaced by strength. However, as he would find out by struggling with the tape again, it wasn’t enough to break free of his bonds.
Then he first noticed the shadowy figure behind the light. He tried make out a face but soon realized that the stranger wore a hood over his head along with a long robe that touched the floor. The light continued to move closer until the source was mere inches from his face. So close, in fact, it blinded him.
The side effect of the light coming closer was that the energy from whatever powered the light gave the Captain more strength. He tried again to break free of the tape, the light immediately shut off and the room went dark.
“Now, Now, Captain,” the figure finally spoke in a deep, husky voice. “We can’t be letting you regain your strength now, can we? No no. Then you’d just escape. And I like you just where you are.”
“Who are you? What have you done to me?”
“Oh, Captain. I’m hurt that you don’t recognize me.” This time the voice came from behind The Captain. “I’ve been waiting for this day for many years.”
“Who are you?” the Captain spoke as he struggled to see through the darkness.
“I’m sure you will come to realize my identity in due time, Captain Volt.” The figure laughed as he continued circled around the Captain’s chair. “In the meantime, let me explain where you are. I have brought you out to the middle of nowhere. No electricity, no people. You see, I know who you are. I’ve been watching you since you were 18 years old. That’s why I brought you out here; without this light on and electricity flowing, you have no strength. That means I can finally get my revenge.”
“Revenge?” The Captain exclaimed. “What have I ever done to you? Who the hell are you?”
“Let’s just say that I am an old friend from long ago whom you left behind. I’m sure you will figure it out.”
The Captain heard some movement to his left where he had seen the table before. He heard what sounded like tools being taken out of a bag and placed on the metal table. He racked his brain, trying to figure out who the shadowy stranger could be when suddenly it dawned on him; this stranger used to be his best friend!
“Pete? Is that you?”
“So, you do remember me? Tell me, then, Captain. Why is it you never came to me? I thought we were friends. After you flipped that raft, causing the radio to hit the water, I never heard from you again…”
“I flipped the raft? You put the radio on the stupid raft!!”
“If you hadn’t hit the raft, it would never have fallen.”
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to…” The captain was interrupted with a slap across the face.
“Shut up. I don’t want your apologies.”
“But I didn’t know. Why didn’t you….” He was slapped again, this time harder than the last.
“I told you to shut up. I’m in control. You ruined my life. You caused me so much pain and embarrassment. Now, Captain Volt, it’s time for Peter’s revenge. Hahahaha” The laugh was perhaps the evilest he had ever heard. It sent chills down his spine as the laughter continued.
“What do you mean, revenge?” The captain muttered, his energy fading from his body. “What are you going to do to me?”
“Oh, my dear Captain. When I am done with you, you will know what true humiliation is.”
Just then, the Captain felt Peter grab his hands and pull them upward, causing him to stand unsure on his weak legs. The figure then pushed him in the direction where Captain had seen the unique set of gallows. The few steps he took seemed to take forever as his body continued to get weaker.
The Captain was expecting to be forced into the makeshift gallows. But instead, as his legs banged against another metal table, the figure turned him around and forced him to lay on his back. He could tell that the figure wasn’t very strong; it took him several attempts before he was finally able to get the entirety of Captain’s body on the table.
Satisfied with the Captain’s position, Peter untapped his hands and brought his arms down his side and secured them to the table with what felt like leather straps. The same was done to his feet, securing all four extremities to the table.
The Captain heard Peter walked back towards the table where he had placed the tools and the light was once again turned on.
“You see, Captain. I know what powers you. I know that without electricity flowing near you, you get weak. I also know that, once you have gone as long as you have without electricity, it would take hours to fully recharge you. This little flashlight only gives you enough energy to stay awake. And that, my dear Captain, is exactly what I want.” The Captain knew what Peter was saying was true. It would take him hours to regain his full strength, and that was only if he was near lots of electricity.
With the light shining around the table, the Captain could make out several distinctive shapes but could not determine what types of tools there were. It wasn’t until Peter shone the light directly on the table that the Captain was able to see an array of razors, hair clippers, and a metal shaft the was about a foot long.
“What the hell do you plan to do to me?”
“Oh, don’t you worry about that my dear Captain. You will discover that in due time.”
The light came closer again to where the Captain was lying on the table. Sticking to his mysterious form, Peter stayed behind the light prohibiting The Captain from being able to see him. When Peter did finally make it to the captain’s table, he first reached for the Captain’s uniform.
“Get away from me, you fucking freak!” The Captain squirmed against his cuffs to no avail.
“Oh, my dear Captain. When I am done with you, I won’t be the only freak in the room.” Slowly, Peter cut the top section of uniform away from his victim. Peter then traced his fingers across the defined muscles of the Captains chest. He traced the defined lines of his pec, working his way up and down.
“All of the gifts you have been given just by being electrocuted and look what happened to me. I must say, Captain, I do admire your gifts.”
As Peter continued working his fingers across his chest, the Captain felt a different type of current working in his body. This one caused his nipples to harden and he felt a twitch that worked it’s way down to his dick.
“What are you doing to me? Stop it or else…”
“Or else what, Captain?” Peter slapped his face again, this time harder than the last. “You can’t do anything, Captain. You are stuck here and I intend to enjoy every minute of it.” Peter left his side and walked back to the table. “I do like my men to be smooth, Captain, and you have just a little bit more hair on your chest than I like. I think we need to do something about that.”
